Get Ready Fore Golf! 
 

Golfers, get ready to hit the links of Kansas City. New this year, the family golf tournament has been renamed to "Gunnels-Gunnells/Shannon Golf Tournament", in honor of both the late Henry and Reaner Gunnels-Shannon. They were avid golfers and Henry was the first winner of the tournament's trophy that was hand-crafted by Ronald Miller, husband of Macy Gunnels Miller. 

 

The biennial golf tournament will be played at Minor Park Golf Course, a favorite course of the Shannons. This classic 18 hole municipal course is known throughout Kansas City for it's playability. The layout is fun and easy to walk for players of all ages and skill levels. Established in 1966, many local golfers remember it as the "the first golf course they ever played". 

 

Early morning tee times for Friday, August 2 will be announced in June.
